Afternoon Book Study
April 1, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm CDT
All are invited to join the St Stephen’s Study Group for our April discussions of the book White Fragility: Why is it so hard for white people to talk about racism. This New York Times best-selling book explores the counterproductive reactions white people often have when their assumptions about race are challenged, and how these reactions maintain racial inequality. It’s available for purchase on Amazon HERE. We will meet on April 1 and 15 at 3:00 PM.
The Afternoon Study Group generally meets on the first and third Wednesdays. It is currently a small group of six to eight but is open to all women and men who can attend on a weekday afternoon. We have participants who come and go based on the book selection, too. There is plenty of flexibility in this welcoming group. We enrich our spiritual lives through discussion of diverse materials. Members of the group are invited to make suggestions of books or media to explore. To learn more contact Barb Cutter.
